Amalfitana Coastal Cruising

There’s just something about summer that draws us to the water, to the coast, to the beach. We love the sand between our feet, the sun in our hair, the lack of clothing worn by the fairer sexy – it all just comes together perfectly.

Even if you have no intention of swimming or sun bathing, there’s nothing better than a great meal, by the beach, with sea views to boot.

Enter the newest addition to The Pulse. An artisan pizza bar created by the hospo brothers we love to love - Rummin’ Tings’ Manesh & Manoj Chellaram and Harsh & Rohit Roopchand – Amalfitana transplants that laid back all’s welcome vibe from Hollywood Road to Repulse Bay with chic interiors by EDG design and a delectable menu by chef Michel Degli Agosti that’s rooted in tradition but with plenty of modern twists. From fresh salads and zesty starters through to crowd pleasing mains, there’s something for everyone, but you’re here for the pizza, made with long rising dough that creates lighter pizzas that showcase the toppings to perfection. From the Margherita, with San Marzano tomatoes and mozzarella; and the signature Amalfitana, with Bufala mozzarella, porcini mushroom, rocket, and Parma ham; to the Il Capo, with black truffle (shaved tableside by the Chef), this is one classy seaside pizza joint. Match your dish with house-made Limoncello infusions, pick from the dedicated Spritz list, or tackle something a little headier like the Balotelli, with chili rum, Aperol and prosecco.
