Starting at 4pm and running till 2am, tickets are HKD250 with the main event being Lil Jon. Despite having a name that would make his English teacher weep, he’s been dubbed the King of Crunk, a music style the PR machine says ‘blends drum machine rhythm, heavy bass lines and in-your-face vocals.’ It’s like Marmite - you either love it or hate it.
Aside from the music you’ll be in an epic pool area surrounded by cabanas, and when that’s over it’ll be time for Cubic. The 30,000 square foot clubbing behemoth is also in the City of Dreams and you’ll get to see another performer with a dyslexic name - rapper turned singer, T-PAIN.
Annoyingly you’ve got to pay another HKD400 to get into Cubic, which is frankly, too steep but the thing the organisers have on their side is being in Macau. You know you don’t want to check your bank balance until your safely back on Hong Kong shores.
Swimwear and strawpedos.
